KEVIN ACKLIN OPENS 2ND CAMPAIGN OFFICE IN BROOKLINE
Independent mayoral candidate opens only mayoral campaign office in South Hills, vows to reinvest in city’s “forgotten neighborhoods” if elected
PITTSBURGH – In front of a crowd of supporters, Independent mayoral candidate Kevin Acklin today opened his new South Hills Campaign office on Brookline Boulevard. The Acklin for Pittsburgh satellite office is the campaign's second official campaign office, and the only mayoral campaign office in the city’s South Hills neighborhoods.
"I spent my formative years in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. I care about these neighborhoods and what’s happening to them. That’s one of the reasons I’m running for mayor, and that’s why I’m opening another campaign office there," Acklin said. "When I’m elected, we’ll re-invest in our neighborhoods, bring them needed improvements and amenities that will make them even greater places to live, and spark a new Pittsburgh renaissance not downtown or along the shores, but right here in our own backyards."
Acklin delivered a speech to his supporters, then lead a neighborhood walking tour to talk to more voters and business owners, and to discuss some of the improvements need in Brookline and in other South Hills neighborhoods.
